The Wellness Wizard is an emergency alert system and prompter designed for use by seniors and individuals with cognitive disabilities or Alzheimer's disease. This electronic unit can be used to remind users to take medications, perform specific tasks at pre-defined times, pay bills, or to remember birthdays and aniversaries, and to enable family members or caregivers to check on well-being. Caregivers can record customized reminder messages in their voice on the Wellness Wizard and specify when these messages should play. Messages can be played daily, every other day, weekly, monthly, or on a specified date. When the message plays, the user must acknowledge it by pressing a very large, blinking yellow button. If the button is not pressed, the device repeats the message for 20 minutes. If the message is still not acknowledged, the device makes an automated alert call using a connected phone to the caregiver(s). The unit can call up to six pre-determined numbers. The unit can also remind the user and/or caregivers to reorder prescriptions, and of upcoming doctor or other appointments and alert caregivers if the user is without electricity, or has used the Wellness Wizard to call 911. In addition, by simply pressing the device’s time button, the Wellness Wizard announces to the user the time, day, and date. The device also includes four speed-dial buttons: Emergency (911), pharmacy, doctor, and caregiver. WARRANTY: 30-day guarantee and a one- year parts and labor warranty.
