Picture of MAGGIE-MD The Maggie-MD is a handheld video magnifier designed for people who have low vision, especially for individuals with macular degeneration (MD). Designed to fit in a wallet, purse, or pocket, this credit-card sized magnifier offers a wide liquid crystal display (LCD) screen can display text or other images in true color, grayscale or in the MD mode with white text on black background (reverse video). The Maggie-MD offers three pre-set lighting levels for indoor and outdoor use, and users can choose between 4x, 6x, 8x, and 11x magnification. This video magnifier features an image freeze function, and it has two light emitting diodes (LEDs) for use in dim lighting conditions. The LED can also be used as a flashlight. POWER: Uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (included) that will last for 3.5 hours on a single charge. A USB charger cable and a wall socket charger are included. DIMENSIONS (LxWxD): 3.5 x 2.0 x 0.5 inches. The LCD screen measures 3.0 inches diagonal. WEIGHT: 2.5 ounces. COLOR: Black, white, red, blue and orange.
