Battery Operated Scissors, model 9080, are powered scissors designed for use by children with fine motor disabilities and grasping disabilities. These scissors are designed to allow children with limited hand strength to participate in art and other classroom or home activities. Once a connected capability switch is activated (required, but not included) the scissors are ready to be used to cut through paper or other art material. These scissors come with a special mounting base where they are stored when not in use. POWER: Uses 4 double-A batteries. DIMENSIONS (LxHxW): The base is 6 x 2 x 8 inches and the scissors are 10.5 x 5 inches.
