Picture of STAIRGLOW HANDRAIL COVER (MODELS PH101 & PH102) The StairGlow Handrail Cover, models PH101 and PH102, is a visual orientation marking and emergency evacuation navigation aid designed to help individuals with low vision or balance or walking disabilities locate the handrail in order to walk up or down stairs more safely. These covers attach permanently to a wide variety of stair rails. Covers are available to fit square (model PH102) or round (PH101) handrails. A co-extruded photoluminescent strip is an integral part of the unit. It glows for several hours after being exposed to ambient light, and can be used to guide people using the stairs during power outages or during an evacuation. Made from polyethylene material, the unit is installed onto existing handrails with adhesive on the backside of the handrail. DIMENSIONSL: The round cover (PH101) is 1.75 inch round and fits up to a 2 inch diameter handrail. The square cover (PH102) is 1.5 inch square. Photoluminescent strip is 1 inch wide for both models. COLOR: A variety of colors are available.

Notes: StairGlow is a trademark of Volk Corporation. ** The manufacturer states that the cover meets the 1027 building code, and complies with the requirement that all handrails be marked on the top surface with a solid and continuous stripe having a minimum width of 1 inch.
