The ReCharge is an alternative power connection for powered wheelchairs designed for use by people with lower extremity or mobility disabilities, spinal cord injury and others who use a powered wheelchair. It is intended to help a wheelchair user to more easily connect the powered wheelchairto a battery charger. This product features a long mast topped with a large circular handle that drops into a socket mounted on the wheelchair. The unit can be used with sockets mounted for the ReJoy or JoyBar (see separate entries) or used independently with its own socket. Sockets can be mounted at the front center of the chair, on the right or left side under the armrest, or on the rear of the chair. The mast and socket have spring-loaded drop-in connections and gold contacts so that they resist corrosion and can be used in humid environments. The unit connects to a standard wall outlet using an XPL (three-prong) plug. Once the battery charger is connected to the ReCharge, it can remain connected; the mast is removed from the chair's socket when not required for battery charging.

Notes: Manufacturer states that the ReCharge can interface with all brands of powered wheelchairs. ** ReCharge is a registered trademark.
