The Vitalwrap System is a heat and cold therapy system with both heating and cooling wraps designed for use by individuals with arthritis or injury of the neck, shoulder, chest, back, elbow, wrist, arm, hand, hip, knee, leg, or foot. The system has three components: a control unit, a tubing set, and a thermal fabric wrap containing a bladder. The bladder portion of the wrap is placed around the treatment area and secured with a Velcro closure. The control unit warms or cools water from a fluid resevoir to the set temperature and pumps it through the bladder inside the fabric wrap. The temperature range is 40 to 105 degree Fahrenheit (4.4 to 40.6 degrees centigrade). The transition time from extremes in the temperature range is typically one minute. The unit's operating period is 2 to 6 hours continuous use. The resevoir holds 1.1 gallon of ice water. POWER: Uses 120 volts alternating current (AC). DIMENSIONS: 8 inches in diameter x 13.5 inches high. Fluid tether is 8 feet long. WEIGHT: 5 pounds without water.
Notes: Velcro is a registered trademark of Velcro Industries B.V. ** The manufacturer suggests consulting a healthcare professional prior to applying the system, particularly when using it for long periods of time.
