Picture of MALTRON DUAL HANDED KEYBOARD The Maltron Dual Handed Keyboard is a 108-key modified keyboard designed to fit the hands and allow the wrists to remain straight during keying, relieve postural stress, and reduce the onset of Repetitive Strain Injury. The curved keyboard shape allows tactile feedback which provides the subconscious with constantly updated position data. This background information assists in improving accuracy and speed. The Dual Handed model has a standard QWERTY keyboard layout (that can be converted at the press of a key to the advanced Maltron layout), but the keyboard is broken down into groups of keys that have scalloped finger recesses. The alphabetic keys are in two groups on the far right and left of the keyboard; the function keys can be located along the top in a single row or along the top of the main key areas; the numeric keypad is in the center; and the command keys (CTRL, ALT, etc.) are in two groupings beneath the numeric keys. The Maltron Keyboards have all the functions of a standard keyboard and are available in the following languyages: United Kindom, American, French, Swedish, and Norwegian. The keyboard is available with or without a trackball. TRAINING: An initial familiarization course is included within each keyboard manual. Additional advanced courses are available focused on the needs of executives, touch typists, and single-handed operators. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PS/2 or IBM PC compatible computers; Apple Mac; Amstrad models 1512 and 1640. OPTIONS: Dual engraved keys are optionally available showing the QWERTY and Maltron letters in different colors. Also available is a PC adapter required by most computers. DIMENSIONS (LxWxH): 20 x 43 x 7 centimeters. WEIGHT: 1 kilogram. COLOR: Grey or black. WARRANTY: One year.
