RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Grid is a program for creating symbolic or text communicator grids designed for use by individuals with communication or speech disabilities. Grids may be exported to Windows CE or palmtop machines, or printed for use with digitized communication aids. The software also functions as an on-screen keyboard program for typing into any Windows-based program. It can be used to speak using Microsoft SAPI Speech, DECtalk, InfoVox, or Dolphin speech systems (not included), digitized (recorded) speech, or pre-recorded sound files, and it is compatible with all major makes of environmental controls. This software can be controlled with a touch-screen, mouse, head pointer, keyboard, joystick, or switches.
