« Previous Product Next Product »The Portable Achievement Carrel, model 903A, is a desktop study carrel designed for use by children with communication, learning, or behavior disabilities. This portable carrel creates a semi-private tabletop space to help students concentrate on their work by controlling their surroundings, including the visual environment, light, and sound. The carrel has a back panel and two side panels with optional windows, an angled work surface with an 18-degree slope, a reading easel with a dry erase surface on both sides, and a cross bar to hold the carrel open. The carrel frame is made of oak with plastic protective edging. The semi-translucent windows are made of flexible scratch-resistant plastic. The drop down work surface has wood grain Formica-style laminate on the writing surface and a dry erase surface on the underside or display surface. OPTIONS: Set of three panels made of plush hook-compatible nylon (model 903.1); a set of three clear plastic window panels (model 903.2); canopy made of vinyl covered knit fabric (model 903.3); carrying bag made of Naughahyde-style vinyl with zipper closure (model 903.4); side pouch that attaches with hook fasteners to the sidewall or windows (model 903.5); and PAC Package including all five accessories (model 903B). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 33 x 27 x 34.5 inches open; 32.5 x 5 x 26 inches folded. The angled work surface measures 22 x 22 inches. The back/window panel is approximately 32 inches high x 23.5 inches wide; the side window panels are approximately 29 high x 20 inches wide. The optional side pouch is 6 inches high x 18 inches wide.
