The Second Sight Basic Reader is a 386 computer with Arkenstone's Open Book Unbound and a Sounding Board Synthesizer designed for use by persons who are blind or have low vision. The unit also features DOS 5.0 and Windows applications, a 101-key keyboard, 40 hard drive and 4 megabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM), 3.5-inch floppy disk drive, VGA card, 2 serial and 1 parallel port.
