The Leglifter is a leg lifter designed to aid people with lower extremity disabilities to lift their legs from a bedside sitting position onto a bed. The Leglifter has three components - an Airflo compressor, a remote control that connects to the compressor; and a large inflatable pillow that fastens on the right or left side of the bed frame underneath the mattress. The inflatable portion connects to the compressor with an air hose. The user sits on the side of the bed with his or her feet on or near the ground and uses the remote control to inflate the Leglifter. As it inflates, the Leglifter will raise the persons legs. When fully inflated, it extends to vertial so that the user's slide onto the mattress. The inflatable portion of the Leglifter has a fabric cover (included) and it has two straps to secure it to the bed. Features include a telescopic support that prevents the leg lifter from lowering under power in the event of an obstruction. Other features include an automatic sensor that turns the motor off in the event of an obstruction. The compressor rests on the floor adjacent to the bed is covered with a molded contoured casing that conceals machine parts and frame for safety. The Leglifter fits all standard bed heights and can be ordered for either left or right side bed use. It is lightweight and compact and folds flat against the bedside when not in operation. POWER: The Airflo compressor has a rechargable battery with a built-in charger. DIMENSIONS (LxWxD): 49 x 22.5 x 4 inches when inflated; depth is 1 inch when deflated. CAPACITY: 300 pounds.
