Retained in database for reference. --- The Tutor is a four track cassette talking book player designed for use by children and adults who are blind or have low vision or learning disabilities. This portable model plays both four track and two track tapes, including Library of Congress talking books and the recorded four track cassette textbooks supplied to eligible students by Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D). The player can erase tapes and record two track tapes in stereo. It comes with headphones and built-in and external microphones. Playback features include variable speed output, enabling the user to listen to tapes at two speeds, 15/16 and 1 7/8 inches per second, and access to tone indexing, the audible beeps that indicate a new chapter or section in a talking book. POWER: Uses two AA batteries (not included). DIMENSIONS (LxW): 5.5 x 4 inches. WEIGHT: Eight ounces. WARRANTY: Three months.
