Description:The subject of this AAATE conference is "Everyday technology for Independence and Care". The AAATE's mission is "to stimulate the advancement of assistive technology for the benefit of people with disabilities, including elderly people". The 2011 conference will examine the present and future of assistive technology from three aspects:

  • A changing society asks for more and better suitable solutions
  • A growing number of people who rely on technological support and care
  • The need to involve the end-users / consumers of care and technology users in the developments for a better future.
