  1. FREEDOM Picture of FREEDOM

The Freedom is a wandering patient system designed for use in residential and institutional settings with people who have autism, Alzheimer's disease, dementia and other cognitive disabilities that may cause wandering. The Freedom system is composed of three modules - a handheld receiver, a wireless transmitter and locator worn on the wrist, and a charging station for the receiver and the locator. The portable radio frequency (RF) receiver can track the location of the transmitter. It has a range of 30 meters indoors and 200 meters outdoors, and the range can be adjusted within those limits. The transmitter is worn like a watch on the wrist, and it displays the time like a watch. It is an RF transmitter tuned to the receiver, and it also is a GPS and GSM locator. If the transmitter moves outside of the receiver's defined range, an alarm sounds on the receiver, and the caregiver can use a computer or smart phone that connects to the Internet to locate the transmitter using its GPS/GSM coordinates. The transmitter does not transmit via GPS or GSM until it is out of range of the receiver. The transmitter also has an emergency alert button that a person can press when assistance is needed immediately. It is water-, scratch- and shock-resistant, and it has a digital display and a hypoallergenic band. The transmitter can operate for 30 days on a single batter charge. COLOR: Black. WARRANTY: One year on parts and warranty.
