FES POWER TRAINER (MODEL 2710)

(Verified 02/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE.--- The FES Power Trainer, model 2710, is an arm and leg exerciser designed to offer Functional Electrical Stimulation for individuals with inactive hamstring and quadricep muscles, spinal chord injuries, or other neuromuscular conditions. The FES Power Trainer is accessible from most wheelchairs or from the optional seating system. The machine directs impulses through re-usable electrodes, which alternately stimulate and rest opposite hamstring and quadricep muscles in conjunction with pedal rotation and position. The operator attaches the electrodes to quadriceps and/or hamstrings, places feet in boots, adjusts resistance to desired work load and starts unit in motion by rotating upper handles. After two rotations, the stimulation begins. Stimulation stops automatically when the cycling motion stops or reverses. The stimulator units are easily removed for independent muscle stimulation use. A performance monitor provides timer function and also displays speed (pace) and mileage equivalence during each session. OPTIONS: High Support and Low Cut boots are available to provide foot and lower leg stability when needed. Fully adjustable seating system can be bolted to frame. Also available are wheels, heart rate monitors and gloves. POWER: Requires one nine volt battery and the stimulators require four "AA" batteries. DIMENSIONS: Base is 48 inches long by 31 1/2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches high. Exerciser is 23 inches long by 16 inches high by 45 inches high. WEIGHT: 95 pounds. WARRANTY: All Power Trainers are covered under Sinties exclusive one and three year warranties.
