The Couch Cane is a transfer aid designed for use by individuals with mobility disabilities. This device consists of a crook-shaped handle with a cushioned grip on an adjustable powdercoated shaft resembling a standard cane affixed to a base with non-skid pads. This device can be used at either end of a couch or on either side of a large chair or recliner. The base slides under the furniture for stability and the handle can be used to assist in sitting down or in rising to a standing position. DIMENSIONS: Height adjusts from 29 to 32 inches. Fits couches or chairs with feet that are 21 to 33 inches apart. Handle is 15 inches wide. CAPACITY: 300 pounds. WEIGHT: 15 pounds.
