(Verified 7/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Jazzy, model 1100, is a powered wheelchair designed for indoor and outdoor use by individuals with mobility disabilities. FRAME (LxW): 39.5 x 25.4 inches with a 3.5-inch ground clearance and a 19.5-inch turning radius. This highly maneuverable chair has a non-folding frame with 6-inch front anti-tip wheels controlled by independent dynamic spring-struts. The chair comes in champagne, gray, forest green, candy apple red, viper blue, purple pizazz, or teal. CONTROLS: A Penny and Giles PG-8 programmable microprocessor based joystick control is standard; two other optional instrument configurations are available. FWD: Two motor, independent front wheel drive. SEAT (WxDxH): The standard scooter-style seat is 17 x 16 x 16 inches. A high-back seat is 18 x 18 x 18 to 19 inches A specialty seating version with a frame only can be adapted for seats from 14 to 22 inches wide. The chair is also available with a sling seat. The seat height for all styles adjusts from 16.5 to 18.5 inches. The standard seat is padded and features seat and back side bolsters and lumbar support. A seatbelt is optional. UPHOLSTERY: Fabric or vinyl. ARMRESTS: Flip-up, removable, and angle- and width-adjustable padded armrests are available. BRAKES: Electronic brake system and a regenerative, disc parking brake. CASTERS: 8- inch flat-free rear casters. WHEELS: 14-inch front drive wheels with flat-free mag wheels. FOOTRESTS: A height- and angle-adjustable footrest platform is standard. Swing-away footrests and elevating footrests are available. OPTIONS: Dust cover, anti-flutter kit, lighting package, and others. POWER: Uses two 12-volt Group 24 batteries. A built-in, onboard battery charger is standard; an external charger is optional. SPEEDS: 4.5 miles per hour with a maximum range of 25 miles. CAPACITY: 300 pounds. WEIGHT: The base weighs 81 pounds, the seat 29 pounds and the batteries 48 pounds each. WARRANTY: 3-year warranty on the frame and 1 year limited warranty on component parts.
