Picture of MAKITA AUTOMATIC DRAPERY OPENER SYSTEM The Makita Automatic Drapery Opener System is a powered drapery control system designed for individuals with a physical disability. The system can carry over 60 pounds of draperies over a 20 foot span at a track speed of ten inches per second. Another motor can be added if this capacity needs to be exceeded. The Opener automatically self centers draperies and has an automatic stop. It also incorporates an automatic cut-off to help prevent motor overheating. The motor has a slip clutch mechanism that allows for the drapes to be opened and closed manually, in case of a power outage. The remote control unit operates within maximum range of approximately 30 feet. The Opener is sold in a kit including the motor, remote and timer, or component form. The timer allows a user hands free operation by presetting the times you wish the drapes to open or close. The timer can hold up to four preset times a day.
