Picture of CLAUDE AND MAUDE Claude and Maude is a writing skills training system designed for use by children with cognitive or fine motor disabilities. Claude, an animated rat, and Maude, an animated owl help motivate children to practice letter formation. Using the mouse, a touch screen, or a graphics pad, the child can trace a letter in a freehand manner. When the letter is complete, clicking on Maude will cause her to flutter, dance, and wink, and then Claude will tell the child how he/she has done. Claude checks to see if the letter is correctly formed and can let the child know if it has been formed backwards. Among the features of the program is phonetic speech, animation showing how a letter should be formed, and more. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 3.1, 3.11, or 95, 8 megabytes RAM, sound card, CD-ROM drive, and color monitor with 256 colors.
