The Black Hawk Chief, model 107-ZRX, is a powered stand up wheelchair designed for use by individuals with severe physical or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. The system allows variable blendability of all positions, and compensates mechanically for body position by moving armrests and positioning devices such as lateral supports. FRAME (LxW): 38 x 23 inch frame. Ground clearance is 4 inches without anti-tipper wheels; turning radius is 29 inches. Custom sizing is available for individuals from 3 foot 8 inches or weighing 40 pounds to 6 foot 8 inches or weighing 350 pounds. Standard colors are red, black, yellow, silver, blue, or green; 256 custom colors are also available. CONTROLS: Onboard bluetooth programmer with joystick and large display, including a speedometer and clock. The user can change speed and performance profiles while moving. Control options include head, chin, sip-n-puff, paddle switch, or attendant controls. SEAT (DxW): 17 x 16 or 18 inches. The seat height is 18.5 inches to the top of seat base in front, and adjustable to 16.6 inches in rear. with 18-inch high seat base, reclining backrest, and torso supports. The back height is 26 inches from the seat base and is adjustable up to 5 inches. Optional back supports include lateral supports; lumbar support; spinal fluid pad insert; cross-strap for shoulders; and chest strap. CUSHION: Contoured ortho foam seat cushion. Options include Velcro-on seat adductors with 4 x 4 x 6 inch height, and Star/Roho, Jay, or Stimulite cushions. ARMRESTS: Desk-length, flip-away, height-adjustable armrests; height is 7 to 11 inches from seat base to top of arm pad. Options include full-length arms; skirt guard on flip-up arm; forearm pads; 9.24-inch palm extensor module; and a clear polycarbonate tray. WHEELS: 12-inch main and 4-inch rear tires, or 10-inch main and 3-inch rear tires. FOOTRESTS: Options include Otto Bock boots; inside legpad for use when knee bolster is off; adjustable angle footplates and footplates with different angles, length, or height on left and right. OPTIONS: Automotive horn; front and rear Halogen lights (taillights have flasher and turn indicator); and a 12-volt cigar lighter. POWER: Uses type 22 batteries. CAPACITY: 250 pounds; heavy duty frame with 350-pound capacity is optional. WEIGHT: 285 pounds.
