Picture of BOOKDRIVE BookDrive is an optical character recognition scanner designed for use by inidividuals who are blind or have low vision. Once the user enters the number of pages to be scanned, this scanner automatically turns the pages of a book as it is scanned. It digitizes bound content in a variety of formats, at a speed of less than 10 seconds per page, or 500 pages per hour. Other automatic scanning functions include rotation, edge detection, image cropping, and adjustment for brightness and contrast. POWER: Uses universal input 110-220 volts alternating current (AC). SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: 2 GigaHertz Intel Pentium 4 processor or faster; 512 megabytes (MB)RAM with 1 gigabyte (GB) recommended; 10 GB available disk space (80 GB recommended); and Windows XP operating system with Service Pack 2. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 13 x 22 x 34 inches. WEIGHT: 55 pounds.
