Brain Attack Coalition

The Brain Attack Coalition is a group of professional, voluntary and government organizations whose mission is to reduce the occurrence, disabilities and death associated with stroke. The goal of the coalition is to strengthen and promote the relationships among its member organizations in order to help people who have had a stroke or are at risk for a stroke. This site may more appropriate for doctors to help them make more informed decisions concerning the care of their individual patients; but there is a lot of useful information for the general public. The Brain Attack Coalition site is maintained by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS).
