Review: WalkCare

Product Information

Manufacturer: Medical Dynamics USA LLC

Reviewed by: Name withheld by request.

Why did you purchase the product?
I have diabetes with lower leg and foot fluid retention. Reading many articles on this subject, I wanted to try a foot compression system.

How well did the product meet your needs?
WalkCare is exactly as advertised. It has provided comfort and a noticable reduction in my swelling.

Are there specific features of the product that you liked?
It is extremely easy to use. Quiet. The time using this unit gives me time for stress relief, time to relax.

Are there specific features of the product that you disliked?
I guess only the price and the fact that the place I purchased the unit from is no longer selling this product. FootSmart.com has neither the unit nor replacement footnest slippers while still advertised as the distributor of the product. I have seen ads for Walgreen's but never seen the WalkCare unit actually in a store. The manufacturer, Medical Dynamics USA LLC, has no listing of this product on its web site. I worry about replacement problems, but I am still using my WalkCare every day.

Any other comments about the product's performance?
I made this purchase on my own, however, I have been told, should my doctor have prescribed its use, my medical insurance would have paid for part of the almost $400 I paid Footsmart for the unit and an extra pair of the footnest slippers for my husband. He is on his feet all day and he loves the "foot rub".
