  2. Amputee Coalition of America
    The ACA is a national, non-profit amputee consumer educational organization representing people who have experienced amputation or are born with limb differences. It includes individual amputees, amputee education and support groups for amputees, professionals, family members and friends of amputees, amputation or limb loss related agencies, and organizations. The ACA operates the National Limb Loss Information Center, provides informational resources such as educational books and fact sheets, and publishes the bimonthly "inMotion" magazine.   3. Amputee Web Site
    This site "is designed primarily to help out amputees on a peer to peer basis." There also are resources for "friends and families of amputees, doctors, prosthetists, teachers, PE instructors, physical therapists or anyone wanting to know more about amputation."   5. Association of Amputee Surfers
    AmpSurf is a non-profit organization made up of amputees, veterans, people with other disabilities, and their friends and family. The association seeks to promote, inspire, educate, and rehabilitate people with disabilities, especially veterans, through adaptive surfing and fun, safe outdoor activities in which all can participate.
