Accessibility Services of United Spinal Association
Accessibility Services is devoted exclusively to making our built environment accessible to people with disabilities. It is the cutting edge of United Spinal Association’s commitment to guaranteeing the civil rights of all citizens to fully participate in our culture and our society. Accessibility Services provides training on state and federal accessibility requirements to more than 4,000 design professionals and code enforcement officials around the country on an annual basis; has consulted on projects as varied as the Philadelphia Airport and the new Yankee Stadium; and is certified in code enforcement and as Accessibility Specialists/Plans Examiners. Great Plains ADA and Information Technology Center

The Center is one of ten regional ADA and IT technical assistance centers (formerly DBTACs) established by the National Institute on Disability Research and Rehabilitation. Institute for Human Centered Design (formerly Adaptive Environments)
The Institute for Human Centered Design is an international non-profit organization that promotes design that works for everyone across the spectrum of ability and age and enhances human experience. Its work balances expertise in legally required accessibility with promotion of best practices in human-centered universal design. It offers information and guidance about the civil rights laws and codes that provide a bedrock of accessibility in the U.S., and provides education and consultation about strategies, precedents and best practices that go beyond legal requirements to design places, things, communication and policy that integrate solutions to the reality of human diversity.
