The AAMR Adaptive Behavior Scale-School: Second Edition (ABS-S:2) is a cognitive evaluation system designed for use by children with cognitive disabities, autism, or behavior problems. It can be used to assess the functioning of children being evaluated for evidence of mental retardation, for evaluating adaptive behavior characteristics of children with autism, and for differentiating children with behavior disorders who require special education assistance from those with behavior problems who can be educated in regular class programs. The scale is divided into two parts. Part One focuses on personal independence and is designed to evaluate coping skills considered important to independence and responsibility in daily living. FEAT - Functional Evaluation for Assistive Technology, model 10909, is an assistive technology evaluation system designed for use with individuals with cognitive or learning disabilities or brain injury. This systematic, comprehensive, multidimensional, and ecologically-based assessment protocol can be used with people from elementary aged students through postsecondary adults. The scale can be used to determine the most appropriate and effective assistive technology devices to help individuals with learning disabilities compensate for difficulties and meet the demands of specific tasks and contexts. The assessment has five scales: the Contextual Matching Inventory (provides information about setting-specific demands), the Checklist of Strengths and Limitations (used to gather data regarding person-specific characteristics), the Checklist of Technology Experiences (offers information about the person's past/current use of technology), the Technology Characteristics Inventory (examines device-specific characteristics such as dependability, product support, etc.), and the Individual-Technology Evaluation Scale (used to determine whether the proposed assistive technology adaptation offers legitimate potential for compensatory effectiveness). Stop-Go Right-Line has red and green printed lines, with the raised line superimposed on the red lines to allow the student to see and feel the base and top lines. TEST OF LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT-INTERMEDIATE — FOURTH EDITION
The Test of Language Development: Intermediate - Fourth Edition (TOLD:I-4), is a language development assessment test designed for use in identifying children with communication disabilities. Professionals can use the test to (1) identify children between the ages of eight and seventeen years old who are significantly below their peers in oral language proficiency, (2) determine specific strengths and weaknesses in oral language skills, (3) document progress in remedial programs, and (4) measure oral language in research studies. The test comprises six subtests that measure semantics (i.e., meaning and thought) or grammar (i.e., syntax and morphology) skills.
