    Five Green & Speckled Frogs is a cause and effect training program designed for use with children with cognitive or multiple disabilities. Activities begin with cause and effect and progress to directionality and simple substraction. One of the included games teaches directionality on a number line; as the learner moves the frog in the proper direction on the line, the frog earns the point, but if the frog moves in the wrong direction, a fly earns the point. The other game teaches simple subtraction by having the child move the frog on the number line to answer a simple problem. When the answer is incorrect, the frog jumps down the line to cue the student. This program may be accessed with a mouse, a single switch, a touch screen, or Intellikeys (see separate entry). Large graphics help learners focus on the the action and a variety of concepts are introduced through enjoyable activities: Cause and effect is introduced in Let's Play and visual discrimination is emphasized in Find the Number Set and Find the Color.     My Own Bookshelf is a reading tutorial program designed for use by students with learning disabilities. This software enables the user to create personalized and engaging books with added media such as text, images, and Quicktime and AVI movies. Sound options include importing, recording, and Text-to-Speech (TTS). Books are placed on electronic bookshelves for students to read. Books can be catergorized by author, student, subject, etc. Each bookshelf holds up to nine books. Access options and preferences can be customized for each student, including preferred settings for mouse, touch screen, single switch, double switch, and Intellikeys (see entry). The program records each reading session, letting the teacher know how many books the student has read and which books they choose to read the most. Text can be printed or exported/imported.

    My Own Paint Program is a cognitive skills tutorial program designed for use by young children through adults with cognitive or multiple disabilities. This program offers three painting activities: In the first, when the student activates the switch, the paint brush chooses a color and paints a vehicle. A musical reinforcer sounds when the picture is completed. The second activity enables the student to select the color(s) to paint the vehicle parts any color desired. The third activity enables the user to select the color on the blue print to complete the picture.     Teach Me to Talk is a language tutorial program designed for use with children and adults with communication disabilities. This program offers three sections; part one offers pictures of 148 nouns, including animals, foods, transportation, household objects, and simple beginning sounds. Features that can be turned on or off on the fly include pictures morphing to the Mayer-Johnson symbol, a musical interlude before a word is spoken to engage attention, choice of having the word spoken in English or Spanish, movement with or without music prior to the word being spoken, text of the word displayed, male or female voice, excited voice option, automatic scanning, and step scanning. Section two offers 100 puzzles with 2, 3, 8, or 16 pieces that can be put together using cause and effect (pressing a switch causes the piec to be put into place), magna mouse (using the mouse or touch screen, the piece is dragged into place), or scanning (scanning the puzzle and selecting where the piece should go).     Big Buddy Buttons are touch switches designed to enable individuals with severe physical, motor control, or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury to control switch-adapted devices. This animated computer program features pictures and text at the bottom of the screen. The text can be optionally highlighted word-by-word or phrase-by-phrase. The nursery rhymes include Eensy Weensy Spider, Mary Wore Her Red Dress and Five Little Ducks. English- and Spanish-speaking versions are available. This program is ideal for individuals with a physical disability because it is touch screen accessible. The program provides instant mouse-less access to menus, dialog boxes and scroll bars. It also allows custom overlays or switches to click on Hot Spots on the screen.
