The SpineCor System is a dynamic scoliosis orthosis designed for use with individuals with idiopathic scoliosis. This system is designed to provide progressive correction of minor Ideopathic Scoliosis (15 to 30 degrees of Cobb angle). In addition to the dynamic brace, the system utilizes SpineCor Assistant Software (SAS) to analyze irregular growth patterns and a motion analysis system known as the FreePoint System which digitizes postural geometry. The brace itself consists of corrective and adjustable elastic bands which are interconnected to three static components, creating a modular system, which enables physicians to customoze treatment by placing the straps in one of a variety of configurations. While correcting postural geometry and scoliotic deformation of the spine, the system provides for the process of movement during daily activities. The brace can be worn discretely under clothing, generally for 20 hours per day. The brace is removed by unhooking four straps in proper sequential order.
