Total Spectrum Bulbs are low vision lights designed for use by individuals with low vision. These bulbs produce light with a color balance that simulates natural sunlight. Bulbs come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and wattages. Shapes/ styles include twist, mini twist, floodlight, flame/torpedo, deco globe, torchiere/floor lamp, magnifier, and plug-in, with wattages from 7 to 58 watts. Bulbs screw into standard sockets and work in on-off lamps, lamps on timer switches, sconces, ceiling fans, ceiling fixtures, chandeliers, three-way lamps, etc. These 120- volt, 60 Hertz bulbs produce low heat and are rated for a life of 8,000 to 10,000 hours. The minimum starting temperature is 10 degrees below zero Fahrenheit.
