Picture of COMPANION SHOPPER (MODEL 5500) The Companion Shopper, model 5500, is a manual wheelchair designed for use by individuals with lower extremity, mobility, or physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. This chair features a swing-away shopping basket and is designed for use in commercial and retail environments. FRAME: Carbon steel, chrome-plated frame with rear anti-tips. UPHOLSTERY: Flame retardant upholstery that is mildew and bacteria resistant with heavy-duty inner liners to prevent stretching. WHEELS: Rear wheels with permanently sealed bearings. CASTERS: Front casters with permanently sealed bearings. FOOTRESTS: Swing-away footrests. OPTIONS: Cane holder; bumper for basket. CAPACITY: 250 pounds (rider); 50 pounds (basket).
