Picture of SARA LITE The SARA Lite is a powered transfer lift designed for use by individuals with balance, lower extremity or mobility disabilities or spinal cord injury. The ergonomic design and powered features are designed to enable a single caregiver to provide care during routine handling activities such as transfers and toileting. The SARA Lite features powered opening and closing of the chassis, dual controls, low-friction castors with rear brakes, and an emergency stop and system failure override. It also has a kneepad that is adjustable vertically and laterally and a footplate with an anti-slip surface. The user is fitted with a non-slip sling (included) that fastens around the lower back while sitting. The user then places both feet on the footplate, and a strap extends behind the legs from one end of the kneepad to the other to secure the knees against the kneepad. The sling is attached at two points to the SARA Lite lift, and the user is raised to a standing position. There are hand grips for the user to grasp during transport to increase stability. POWER: Uses a detachable, rechargeable 24-Volt high-capacity sealed lead acid battery to be charged in a separate charger (included). The system also includes a low-charge indicator and a battery discharge indicator (BDI) which displays remaining power and indicates when the battery needs charging. DIMENSIONS (HxL): 47.25 x 37.375 inches. The height of the chassis is 4.375 inches. The minimum lifting height is 40.625 inches; and the maximum lifting height is 64.125 inches. CAPACITY: The lift and sling capacity is 385 pounds. WEIGHT: 130 pounds.
