Window-Eyes Professional is a screen reader program designed to provide access to Windows and Windows-based applications for individuals who are blind or have low vision. Window-Eyes provides easy control and setup, and a wide variety of features for automatic reading of menus, dialog boxes, progress bars, scroll bars, and other Windows activities. A read-to-end feature allows documents to be read from beginning to end without stopping. Features can be configured to personal taste. Window-Eyes provides access to web pages, including those with tables, using Microsoft Internet Explorer. It also supports Adobe Acrobat PDFs. Fifty windows are simultaneosly available for reading, while 26 hyperactive windows may be monitored for changes or specified occurrences such as exact text matches. More than 150 hot keys can be defined for Window-Eyes commands, while hot keys that are unneeded can be left undefined. Windows-Eyes works with all video systems, nearly 30 different Braille displays, and most popular voice synthesizers. A manual is supplied in print, on audio cassette, and on disk. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM-compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 32 MB of random access memory (RAM), 64 MB RAM recommended; Windows 95/98/Millennium Edition/ 2000/XP); and speech synthesizer (Sounding Board, Speak-Out, Accent, Apollo, Artic, Votalker, Audapter, ASP, Braille 'n Speak, DECtalk, Portable DECtalk, DECtalk PC/Express, DECtalk Access32, DoubleTalk PC & LT, Echo PC, Keynote, Keynote Gold Multimedia, Lite Talk, MultiVoice, Personal speech system, Reading Edge, SmarTalk, TextAssist, PROSE 4000, Voice Card, Triple Talk, Microsoft Speech Engine, FlexTalk, or Eloquence/Via Voice).
