POCKET TALKER & POCKET TALKER PLUS (MODELS PT-12F & PT-15F)

(Verified 10/2010) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Pocket Talker and Pocket Talker Plus are hand-held direct selection communicators which can be used by people with communication disabilities to communicate using five pre-programmed messages, or which can be used to create verbal prompts to assist people with cognitive disabilities in remembering simple daily tasks. The Pocket Talkers feature clear plastic sleeves designed to hold laminated cards (included) that can be personalized with picture or word cues for each message. Messages can be updated as often as needed; recording is accomplished by pressing the "record" button and a message button and speaking into the device. The playback messages are in the speaker's voice. Both models feature digital recording and multifunction LED displays and come with a carrying case and instructions. The Pocket Talker, model PT-12F, has 32 seconds of memory, with 8 seconds assigned to buttons 1 and 2 and 5.3 seconds available to each message on buttons 3 through 5. Pocket Talker Plus, model PT-15F, features a two-minute memory with buttons 1 and 2 each having a 30-second capacity and buttons 3 through 5 having 20 seconds each of recording time.
