The 64-Cell Question: A Review of the Brailliant Braille Display

Article provides a review of the Brilliant, which is a Braille display from HumanWare. The displays are offered in 24-, 64-, and 80-cell models, and are reviewed in terms of the following features: (1) hardware, (2) menus, (3) connection, (4) USB installation, (5) Bluetooth Installation, (6) assigned commands, (7) responsiveness, and (8) auto power-off. The author found the quality of the display to be excellent, while the Braille dots, routing buttons, and display controls were all found to have a solid feel. The display was also consistently responsive and easy to use, while the only negative the author found was the added expense of the Bluetooth connectivity.
