This paper discusses a study that compared the results for thirty subjects with spinal cord injuries when each subject was classified according three different medical and functional assessment systems: American Spinal Cord Association scale, Bracken scale, and wheelchair basketball sports test. The results, illustrated with a variety of graphs and tables, show that the systems provide differing assessments for many patients, and that the selection of a classification system may effect the results of clinical investigations.
