-- DISCONTINUED. VERIFIED 10/2012. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. -- Switch Connection is a collection of six cause and effect training programs designed for children with learning, cognitive, or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. This collection of six arcade-style games can be operated with one or two switches and are designed to encourage new switch users to play by themselves, having fun while improving their switch skills. Each game teaches a different aspect of switch use, such as selection of the correct switch, timing, or rapid repeating. The games on the disk are: First Lobo (simple cause and effect with plenty of rude noises); Switch Lobo (switch controlled platform game that teaches basic scanning and two switch selection); Solitaire (the old marble game teaches complex switch selection logic); Switch Invaders (the classic shoot 'em up encourages accurate switch press timing); Kung Fu (another old favorite that demands a combination of well timed hits and sustained presses); and Balloons (which encourages switch users to increase the speed of repeated switch presses as one switch is used to create new balloons, and the other is used to pop them). COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and Compatible Computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows and a CD-ROM drive.
