Teacher speaks into microphone, presenting the target skill; student listens and feels vibration patterns from vibrator; speaking into microphone, student attempts to imitate instructor's vibratory and auditory patterns. Fonator Speech Trainer consists of microphone, vibrator and amplifier with controls for the intensity of the vibrations and intensity of the high and low frequencies through the vibrator. Fonator Auditory Speech Trainer adds a headset. Amplifier has controls for intensity and frequency emphasis of vibrator, peak clipping and independent intensity control for right and left ears.
