(Verified 10/2010) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The BaraSlyde, model 11-790-01, is a bariatric emergency evacuation carrier designed for use by bariatric individuals with mobility or severe physical disabilities or spinal cord injury. This carrier can be used to evacuate a non-ambulatory individual from a multi-floor building via a stairway. The carrier's handles allow two, three, or four people to control its descent, while the individual being carried is secured by restraints with FastX buckles. The SafeSlyde belay accessory enables lighter attendants to control the descent of heavier or bariatric individuals. The carrier is made of 12-millimeter corrugated polypropylene. OPTIONS: SafeSlyde Belay System; BaraSleeve wall rack; FireBox; Pediatric Foam Insert; Equipment Foam Insert; and MCI-Ped and MCI-Adult. DIMENSIONS (HxLxW): 2 x 85 x 24 inches when folded. The unit is 8 inches high unfolded. The handles are 4.2 inches. CAPACITY: 800 pounds. WEIGHT: 9 pounds with battery.
