(Verified 5/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Collating, Sorting and Filing is a pre-vocational job skills training system for matching/sorting/assembly and collating/sorting/filing designed to provide basic introductory training in entry-level work skills for people with cognitive disabilities. It provides repetitive and specific training with tasks broken into small steps to insure student success. The program stresses accuracy, rate of work, and general attitude. The complexity of the tasks, which are structured for success, increases as goals are met. Practice Cards are used by the student to either collate, sort or file and are frovided in five activity areas: colors, shapes, alphabet, numbers and words. Index Cards and File Bins provide training in filing the practice cards. A set of Student Job Record Booklets are used for student recordkeeping and student evaluation on each task. The set includes hundreds of task cards, instructor's guide with objectives, 25 record books, work behavior record, index tabs, 2 file boxes, and 25 vertical file bins.
