Picture of VICTOR READER STREAM Victor Reader Stream is a handheld digital talking book and MP3 player designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision. This DAISY, MP3, and NISO player enables the user to read and navigate through complex recorded books in DAISY format, including reference manuals, textbooks, and magazines. It can also play NLS download books and NLS book cartridges from the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, and can read books in text format such as Bookshare using built-in text-to-speech (Nuance Vocalizer). Other features include the ability to play music files; a USB port to transfer books and music from a personal computer (PC); voice recording capability for notes; stereo headphones; high contrast tactile keys and buttons; variable speed playback; automatic sleep shutoff with multiple time settings; a carrying case with belt clip; and a built-in user guide and key describer. Content is stored on a removeable SD memory card (not included). POWER: Uses rechargeable batteries (included). DIMENSIONS: 4.6 x 2.6 x 0.9 inches. WEIGHT: 6 ounces.
