The Care Trak Sentry Perimeter System is a wandering patient system designed to prevent individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or cognitive, neurological, and balance disabilities from entering or exiting a specific area. The system features a monitoring unit with controls to adjust the range of the invisible perimeter, a Care Trak wrist transmitter, and the Care Trak Mobile Locator (see separate entries). The system establishes an invisible circular boundary with a radius of 50 feet to 300 feet, depending on weather and environmental conditions, around the monitoring unit. As long as the individual wearing a wrist transmitter remains within the monitored area, nothing happens. If he or she moves outside of the invisible boundary, an alarm sounds. This unit is portable, and has no buried wires. POWER: This system operates on standard household electrical current. When electrical current is not available, the system can be operated on AAA batteries for approximately 5 hours.
