The Clarity DECT6.0 Amplified Big Button Cordless Phone with Digital Answering Machine, model C1, is a large button amplified cordless telephone with speaker designed for use by people who have low vision or are hard of hearing. The handset amplifies incoming sound up to 40 decibels (dB) (20 times louder than a standard home phone). The phone features Clarity Power technology for amplification and DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) 6.0 technology for interference-free communication. Other features include four tone settings, high contrast numbers, contoured keys with soft-touch material, backlit keypad, large font and high contrast caller ID screen, 10 speed dial buttons, 100 name and number phonebook with 10 memory buttons, 20 last number redial memory, belt clip for hands-free mobility, and 10 loud and clear melodies plus six levels of volume. Both the keypad and CID display light up as a bright visual ringer. The handset also has a 2.5-millimeter jack for assistive listening devices or headset. Up to five additional handsets (model D704HS, sold separately) can be used with the phone. POWER: The base is powered by a 100-240 volt, 200mA AC adapter; the handset uses two AAA, 600mAh Ni-MH rechargeable batteries. DIMENSIONS (HxWxD): Handset unit – 7 x 2.25 x 1.5 inches. Base – 2.25 x 5.75 x 4.5 inches. WEIGHT: 6.13 ounces (handset unit); 7.75 ounces (base). WARRANTY: Five year limited warranty.
