(Verified 2/1998) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Boston Assessment of Severe Apahasia Kit is a speech analysis evaluation program designed to provide valuable diagnostic information for individuals with communicative or cognitive disabilities. This program takes 20-30 minutes to administer and is intended to be given to individuals in the early stages of post-stroke recovery. It is designed to score both gestural and verbal responses and is compatible with other aphasia measures. It additionally is intended to provide a framework for subsequent administration of higher-level aphasia tests. The complete kit includes an instruction manual; a custom aluminum clipboard; manipulatives; stimulus cards; record forms and comes with a soft briefcase.
