The Superprint 400 is a printing telecommunication device for the deaf (TDD) with direct connect, auto-answer, remote message retrieval, keyboard dialing, and memory dialing features. It has an 8k memory with 9 message buffers to save and send messages, and the TDD Announcer, which is a voice that alerts hearing people to text telephone calls. The Superprint 400 stores up to 26 different phone numbers and stores and sends personal auto- answer messages. This device directly connects to the telephone line and automatically answers calls with the owner's personal message. The resident 24- character printer prints at a speed of .8 lines per second on 2.25 inch wide paper. The printer will print in upper or lower case, and has word wrap and hyphenation features. The keyboard has 43 touch keys, 11 function keys, a 4-row keyboard with QWERTY layout. There is a 20-character, vacuum fluorescent display with a .25 inch character height. Telecommunications are as follows: Baudot (TDD standard) code at 45.5 baud; international code at 50 baud; optional ASCII code at either 300 or 110 baud; high/normal sensitivity control. POWER: Rechargeable batteries and AC adapter included. OPTIONS: ASCII code available for $49.95. A dust cover is $9.95 and a soft carrying case is $29.95. DIMENSIONS: 12.5" x 9.3" x 3".
