The reading series recognizes the importance of imprinting, encoding, decoding, and incorporated multiple sensory cues and purposeful interaction between the senses and the learning process. Objectives include teaching basic reading skills, enhancing letter recognition, teaching over 700 words, and teaching over 100 phonic rules. The programs are easily customized to suit each individual's needs with five levels of difficulty, three speeds, automatic level increase and record keeping. It is ideal for young children with developmental delays or adults needing basic reading and language skills. It is TouchWindow accessible (see separate entry) for individuals with a physical disability. There are eight programs including: Magic Speller; Know Your ABCs; I Am Proud; Let's Go!; Seeing, Touching, Being; Superphonics; Ice Cream, Please; Survival Words. The complete package comes on diskette as a set with a transparent overlay and Instructor's guide. Programs are also available individually. COMPATIBILITY: Apple IIe, IIc, IIGS and IBM and compatibles. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Apple: 128K; color monitor; two 5.25 inch disk drives; Echo Speech Processor (see separate entry). Optional: TouchWindow. IBM: DOS 3.1 or higher; 640Kl 1.5 MB of hard disk space per program; 3.25 inch disk drive; VGA or better; sound card. Optional: TouchWindow.
