The Shape Switch/Music Box (models 900, 910, and 920) are puzzle switches designed to enhance visual-motor tasks for individuals who have cognitive, sensory or physical disabilities. The puzzles introduce basic cognitive concepts, improve fine motor skills and develop order and sequencing skills which are important building blocks for logical thinking and organization. They also teach individuals to distinguish colors, shapes, and sizes. Each can work as a stand-alone device or as an external switch. Each device consists of a white plastic base which can be mounted on a table or table-like surface with the four suction cup feet. The geometric cut-out slots on top of the base require the user to insert the matching puzzle pieces, which are fitted with perpendicular knobs for grasping. When the correct shape(s) are inserted, the internal music box plays a tune. If the device is plugged into a toy, the switch will activate that toy without playing music. Available with one (model 900), two (model 910), or three (model 920) shapes.

Notes: Toys for Special Children also designs, develops, and manufactures one-of- a-kind devices for persons with disabilities.
