Skills taught include coin identification and coin counting through the use of a special "cueing system." Worksheets provide structured activities, small sequential learning steps, repetition, and external cues to aid students. The system is based on a logical method of counting fives and ones. Once students have mastered the counting skills, the external cues are naturally discarded. The system aids in determining whether a student’s difficulty is one of coin recognition, assigning coin value, or not counting sequentially. The set contains 117 pages with teacher directions for training students in the cueing system, 25 objectives for lesson plans or IEPs, 87 reproducible practice pages, pre- and Post-tests and data summary sheets for recordkeeping. Counting Coins Quick & Easy is available in a a softcover book with a plastic coil binding (model 4149)or on a CD-ROM with PDF files (model 4149CD-PDF).
