Next Product »The Abbreviated Profile of Hearing Aid Benefit (APHAB) For Windows is an auditory evaluation and hearing aid acoustic test system designed for use to assess how much an individual who is hard of hearing would benefit from a hearing aid. This system includes scoring and administration software for a 24-item self-assessment inventory in which individuals report the amount of trouble they are having with communication or noises in various everyday situations. Benefit is calculated by comparing the individual's reported difficulty in the unaided condition with the amount of difficulty reported when using amplification. The inventory produces scores for four subscales: Ease of Communication (EC), Reverberation (RV), Background Noise (BN), and Aversiveness (AV). COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers running Windows. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows 3.1 or higher operating system. WARRANTY: Returnable with a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
Notes: Site licenses are also available. ** The APHAB questionnaire in PDF format may be downloaded for free from the University of Memphis School of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology web site. It is available in English, Croatian, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Magyar (Hungarian), Norsk (Norwegian), Polish, Portuguese, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish, Suomi (Finnish), and Turkish.
