Picture of DYNAMIC PARAPODIUM The Dynamic Paradium is parapodium designed for use by individuals with paraparesis and paraplegia. A Parapodium is a type of orthosis equipped with a large base and is used to assist individuals with lower extremity and trunk paralysis in assuming an upright position without the additional support of crutches. The Dynamic Parapodium is designed to enable users to gain vertical position of the body while allowing for active rehabilitation and movement. The device is composed of a frame with lateral supports rising from runners and platforms. The individual stands on the runners and platforms, supported by knee blocks, a torso corset, and lateral arm supports. The runners allow for independent movement while performing activities in an upright position. SIZES: Available in pediatric and adult sizes.
