The Uniphone 1000 & the Uniphone 1100 are combination text telephones (TT or telecommunications device for the deaf, TTY/TDD) and standard telephones with voice carry over designed to allow persons who are deaf or hard of hearing and hearing individuals to use the same telephone. The unit is compact and features a display so that persons with hearing disabilities but enough speech to converse can speak directly to the party they are calling and read the responses as text. Other features include volume control; an amplified handset; Turbo Code, which allows real time transmissions and interruptions; Auto ID, which automatically sends signals to alert people to an incoming TT call; and a two line, 2 x 24 character display. The Uniphone 1100 includes the same features plus memory for storiing conversations; pre-programmed auto answer messages; a built in ring flasher; and a display with backlight. OPTIONS: Headset. WARRANTY: One-year limited warranty. An extended warranty is available.
